POLISH AMARANTH SEEDS

This variety is new to us but favored by famed Midwestern organic grower Richard de Wilde and maintained by Frank Morton and Wild Garden Seeds in Oregon. Grown primarily for salad and cooked greens. One of the few “greens” that will grow in a hot Midwestern summer and a mainstay of the Harmony Valley Farm CSA. We are skeptical of it being Polish but that is neither here nor there.

Reddish foliage and big dramatic red seedheads. Sow directly into warm garden soil in late spring or start indoors and transplant. Successive direct sowings through summer are usually best for growers that bunch for market.
