CRESTED PRICKLY POPPY SEEDS

Argemone polyanthemos

Delicate white flowers on extraordinary blue-green thistle-like plants to 3'. Very attractive to bees and butterflies and other diverse beneficial insects. Ideal for an insectary border. Does well in poor dry soils where little else will grow.

Sow seeds where they are to grow in early spring. Our current batch of seeds germinate more erratically than the last. Best with some cold and absolutely no artificial heat until germinated.

Deerproof. Very prickly indeed -- avoid contact with the foliage.

Packet contains at least 50 seeds.
