Capsicum annuum

Superior strain of the second most common pepper in Mexico. Distinctive flavor makes fantastic piquant salsa and hot sauce. Moderately hot, about 10,000 SHU. Large plants grow to 3'. Incredibly productive, even in a cool wet summer. Typically used green, but ripe red fruits have a nice sweet flavor that works well in fruit salsas and with roasted autumn vegetables.
