PINK PLUM TOMATO SEEDS

Solanum lycopersicum

An incredibly productive multipurpose tomato for every garden. Pink plum-sized fruits are solid enough for saucing but juicy and sweet enough to eat out of hand. Flavor is excellent. Makes fabulous caprese. Resists cracking better than any similar tomato we have grown and keeps on a countertop for weeks. Tall sturdy indeterminate plants produce fairly early and continue to produce right up until a killing frost. Tolerates diverse growing conditions, including compacted clay soils, drought and deluge. An amazing selection that is neither a cherry nor a saladette but is so versatile and flavorful that it deserves more attention. Originally obtained from Sandhill Preservation in Iowa.

Very highly recommended for market growers, as these will fill up those big blue baskets beautifully and hold reliably. Requires a trellis or a single tall stake if plants are pruned.
