Stunning golden green leaves are dramatically dissected and hyperfrilly. Flavor is sweet and aromatic with a bright mustardy bite. Texture is juicy and crunchy. Makes a fantastic salad alone or in combination with other greens, to which these leaves lend considerable loft. Also delicious gently steamed, stir-fried, or tossed into brothy soups. The most versatile mustard greens we have grown.

There may be some juncea ssp. napiformis in Golden Frills lineage, as mature plants sometimes produce a crisp edible root! Eat these as you would a turnip.

Though these plants tolerate heat better than other mustards, spring-sown plants can sometimes be heavily damaged by flea beetles. Best sown in late summer and early autumn in the Northeast. Easy and excellent under lights or in a greenhouse through the winter. One of the brightest stars of modern breeding. Perfect for gardeners who think that they don't like mustard greens.
